February 23, 2019 (Cathedral City, Calif.) - The San Diego State softball team was shut out by undefeated No. 25/23 Texas Tech 7-0 Saturday night in Cathedral City, Calif. The Aztecs fell to 7-6 on the season, while the Red Raiders improved to 13-0 with their third consecutive shutout at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic and fourth straight shutout overall.

February 23, 2019 (Las Vegas) - Jalen McDaniels had 16 points, Matt Mitchell added 15 and San Diego State narrowly defeated UNLV 60-59 on Saturday night. The victory was the fifth straight this season for San Diego State, who is now 14-1 against the Runnin' Rebels in its last 15 meetings.

February 23, 2019 (Seattle) - San Diego State head coach Gene Carswell earned his 200th career victory on Saturday, as the Aztecs defeated Portland, 5-2, in a neutral-site dual match inside the University of Washington’s Nordstrom Tennis Center.

February 23, 2019 (Albuquerque) - The San Diego State Aztecs track and field team took third place at the Mountain West Indoor Championships after winning the 4x400 meter relay with a record breaking time Saturday at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

February 23, 2019 (San Diego) - The Aztec women’s basketball team (10-15, 5-9) were outscored in the fourth quarter 23-9 by UNLV (10-16, 8-7) and lost 62-49 Saturday afternoon inside Viejas Arena.

Mallory Adams once again paced the Aztecs with 15 points and had nine rebounds. Sophia Ramos had 12 points and seven rebounds and Téa Adams chipped in 10 points.

February 23, 2019 (San Diego) - San Diego State women's tennis was unable to put a win together at USD on Saturday, falling to the Toreros 5-2. The Aztecs dropped their doubles point in a tiebreak and fought hard in singles, but could only tally two points in the match.

February 23, 2019 (Newport Beach) - The No. 25 San Diego State (3-6) water polo team lost to No. 9 UC Santa Barbara 11-5 Saturday morning in the Aztecs’ second game of the Barbara Kalbus Invitational.

The Guachos outscored SDSU 4-0 in the first quarter. SDSU was able to close the gap to 5-3 early in the third quarter but then UCSB pulled away with six unanswered goals.

February 22, 2019 (San Diego) - Behind Matt Rudick’s go-ahead RBI and Casey Schmitt’s game-saving ninth inning, the San Diego State baseball team opened its first game of the Tony Gwynn Legacy with a 3-2 victory over Oklahoma on Friday night at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

February 22, 2019 (Minneapolis) - San Diego State swimming and diving took first place in four of a possible six events on Friday, overtaking Nevada for the top spot at the Mountain West Championships heading into the final day. The Aztecs head into Saturday with a 62.5-point advantage over Nevada.

February 22, 2019 (Albuquerque) - The San Diego State track and field team sits in second place entering the final day of the Mountain West Indoor Championships. Bonnie Draxler highlighted the day by capturing the championship in the pole vault. She cleared 4.33 meters to set a meet record and capture her fourth indoor championship (fifth overall), becoming the first athlete to accomplish that.

February 22, 2019 (Cathedral City, Calif.) - The San Diego State softball team opened up its play in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic with a Friday afternoon split in Cathedral City, Calif. The Aztecs (7-5) shut out Nebraska, 4-0, before falling to No. 16/20 Oklahoma State, 15-5, in five innings.

February 22, 2019 (Irvine) - The No. 25 San Diego State water polo team (3-5) fell to No. 1 USC (14-0) 13-5 in the opening game of the Barbara Kalbus Invitational Friday morning at UC Irvine. The Aztecs fell behind 7-1 in the opening quarter and were unable to recover.

February 21, 2019 (San Diego) - Valhalla High boys basketball has had an impeccable season; 28-3 on the year.  So it’s only fitting that they’d make it to the CIF San Diego section Division III finals after beating Southwest El Centro and Del Norte.  Tonight, they faced off against the Cavers of San Diego High on the campus of Mira Mesa High School.

February 21, 2019 (Fullerton) - San Diego State was unable to get its offense going in a 5-1 loss at Cal State Fullerton Wednesday in Fullerton, Calif. The Aztecs fell to 6-4 on the season.

SDSU managed only two hits in the game - both by Katie Byrd - off Titan (8-3) pitchers Janelle Rodriguez and Sophie Frost. San Diego State’s other baserunners in the game were Megan Smith (two walks), Kiera Wright (one walk) and Molly Sturdivant (hit by pitch).

February 20, 2019 (La Quinta, Calif.) - The San Diego State men’s golf team completed its first tournament of the spring Wednesday, finishing 16th at The Prestige presented by Charles Schwab after posting a collective 12-over-par 296 during the final round on the Greg Norman Course at PGA West.

February 20, 2019 (Minneapolis) - Freshman diver Ximena Lechuga Gonzalez and the 200 medley relay team of Elli Ferrin, Klara Thormalm, Courtney Vincent and Alma Thormalm both set school records for the San Diego State swimming and diving team on the first day of the Mountain West Championships. The Aztecs currently sit in second with 178.5 points, trailing only Nevada by a 25.5-point margin.

February 20, 2019 (Reno) - The Aztec women’s basketball team (10-14, 5-8) fell at Nevada (9-15, 5-8) 74-69 Wednesday evening. SDSU scored just five points in the second quarter allowing the Wolf Pack to go on a 17-2 run and the Aztecs were unable to recover.

February 19, 2019 (San Diego) - The San Diego State baseball team came out victorious with a 9-3 win against No. NR/25 UC Irvine on Tuesday night at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

Brian Leonhardt led the Aztecs with a 3-for-4 performance including four RBIs. Casey O’Sullivan (1-0) earned the win on the mound for SDSU, pitching two innings of one-hit relief with four strikeouts.
