April 1, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally past San José State, 5-3, Saturday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (19-14, 3-5 MW) handed the Spartans (23-11, 3-2 MW) just their second loss in the past 15 games.

The loss dropped the Aztecs to 13-11 overall, while the Gauchos improved to 15-8.

March 29, 2017 (Rancho Sante Fe) - The San Diego State men’s tennis team stepped off campus for a non-conference dual match against No. 22 Stanford on Wednesday, but came up on the wrong side of a 4-0 decision at Rancho Santa Fe Tennis Club. With the loss, the Aztecs dropped their seventh in a row, falling to 5-12 on the year, while the Cardinal improve to 10-4 overall.

March 28, 2017 (Los Angeles) - For the second time in three weeks, USC held the San Diego State scoreless over nine innings, this time registering a 2-0 victory over SDSU Tuesday evening at Dedeaux Field in Los Angeles. SDSU could not dent the run column in two meetings with the Trojans this season, losing by a 1-0 score line San Diego back on March 7.

March 28, 2017 (Eugene, Ore.) - The San Diego State men’s golf team finished in fourth place at the Duck Invitational on Tuesday after firing a combined 8-over-par 292 during the final round at Eugene Country Club.  The Aztecs were unable to gain ground in the standings, however, completing the 28th annual event with a 54-hole total of 17-over 869 on the par-71, 7,020-yard track.

March 27, 2017 (Eugene, Ore.) - The San Diego State men’s golf team finds itself in fourth place after shooting a collective 9-over par 577 on Monday during the first 36 holes of the Duck Invitational at Eugene Country Club. The Aztecs carded rounds of 284-293 to remain 17 shots behind front-runner Oregon on the par-71, 7,020-yard course layout.

March 27, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State lacrosse program garnered two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation accolades on Monday as senior Kristen Hickey earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, while freshman Taylor Sullivan received Rookie of the Week recognition. The two certificates represent the second weekly conference awards this season for the Aztec teammates, giving SDSU six overall.

March 25, 2017 (Fresno) - San Diego State captured both ends of a doubleheader against Fresno State at Beiden Field on Saturday to take sole possession of second place in the Mountain West. The Aztecs began the day with a close 5-4 win over the Bulldogs before cruising to a 12-0 victory in the nightcap behind a one-hit shutout effort by Brett Seeburger and Marcus Reyes.

March 25, 2017 (Logan, Utah) - Seeking some relief from its season-long losing streak, the San Diego State men’s tennis team took to the road this weekend, but came up on the short end of a 4-1 decision at 42nd-ranked Utah State Saturday in a Mountain West dual match at Sports Academy & Racquet Club. With the defeat, the Aztecs drop their sixth in a row, falling to 5-11 overall and 1-1 in conference play, while the Aggies raise their record to 13-7 on the year and 1-0 in the MW.

The Aztecs (18-12, 2-3 MW) and the Rams (14-10, 2-3 MW) now each have one win apiece in the weekend series with the final game moved up to 11 a.m. MT (10 a.m. PT) Sunday with rain in the forecast.

The decision kept the Aztecs’ Golden Coast Conference sheet clean at 4-0 (13-9 overall) and dropped the Lions to 9-12 (1-1 GCC).

March 24, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State track and field team won three events in the opening day of the 39th annual Aztec Invitational Friday.

The two-day event saw SDSU take three of the top five spots in the 100-meter hurdles open, with senior Micha Auzenne capturing gold with a 13.45 time in her season debut in the event. Sophomore Sierra Brabham-Lawrence was second (13.63), while freshman Andrenette Knight, in her first 100 hurdles collegiate showing, was third at 13.73. Kassidy Ellis, also making her 2017 debut in the event, was fifth (14.70).
