April 26, 2019 (Fresno) - The No. 17 Aztec water polo team beat Santa Clara 10-7 Friday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the GCC Championships. They Aztecs advance to take on the No. 3 seed, Loyola Marymount, in the GCC semifinals Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

April 12, 2019 (San Diego) - The No. 16 Aztec water polo team (15-13, 5-2) lost to No. 8 Pacific 12-7 Friday afternoon at the Aztec Aquaplex. The Tigers scored the first five goals and the Aztecs never recovered from their deficit.

April 3, 2019 (Seaside, Calif.) - The No. 20 Aztec water polo team won for the sixth time in their last seven games with a 17-6 win at Cal State Monterey Bay Wednesday evening. The 17 goals were a season-high for the Aztecs.

March 30, 2019 (Tempe) - The No. 21 Aztec water polo team (12-12) fell to No. 8 Arizona State 6-4 Saturday afternoon in their second game of the ASU Invitational. SDSU fell behind 3-1 early in the game and were unable to recover.

March 28, 2019 (San Diego) - The No. 21 Aztec water polo team extended their win streak to three games after winning a defensive battle 4-1 over Santa Clara Thursday afternoon.

Maura Cantoni turned in an outstanding performance in goal and collected 12 saves and allowed a season-low one goal. Hannah Carrillo scored two of the Aztecs’ four goals. Shelby Kraft had a goal and an assist and Maddie Higginson scored one goal.

March 22, 2019 (Los Angeles) - The Aztec water polo team earned a big victory with a 9-7 win at Loyola Marymount Friday afternoon. SDSU finished the game on a 5-1 run to secure their first GCC road win of the year.

March 16, 2019 (San Diego) - The No. 25 Aztec water polo team (8-10, 1-1) cruised past Concordia 11-4 Saturday afternoon at the Aztec Aquaplex. San Diego State didn’t allow a goal in the first half and started the game on an 8-0 run enroute to their first GCC win of the season.

March 8, 2019 (San Diego) - The No. 22 SDSU water polo team (5-8, 0-1) kicked off the Aztec Invitational by splitting a pair of games Friday afternoon at the Aztec Aquaplex. In their first game, the GCC opener against Azusa Pacific, the Aztecs lost a tight one 10-9. The rebounded with a convincing 12-6 win over St. Francis. Emily Bennett scored five total goals to pace the Aztecs.

February 24, 2019 (Newport Beach) - The No. 25 Aztec water polo team (4-7) knocked off No. 21 CSUN 11-4 Sunday morning in their final game of the Barbara Kalbus Invitational. SDSU tied a season-high with 11 goals, which came from nine different players to avenge a 7-3 loss to the Matadors two weeks earlier.

February 23, 2019 (Newport Beach) - The No. 25 San Diego State (3-6) water polo team lost to No. 9 UC Santa Barbara 11-5 Saturday morning in the Aztecs’ second game of the Barbara Kalbus Invitational.

The Guachos outscored SDSU 4-0 in the first quarter. SDSU was able to close the gap to 5-3 early in the third quarter but then UCSB pulled away with six unanswered goals.

February 14, 2019 (San Diego) - The No. 25 San Diego State water polo team knocked off the University of Toronto 11-3 in an exhibition match Thursday afternoon. Playing in the rain, the Aztecs allowed the opening goal then reeled of eight unanswered goals.

February 9, 2019 (La Jolla) - The No. 22 San Diego State water polo team (1-4) went 0-2 in the first day of the Triton Invitational at UC San Diego on Saturday. The Aztecs lost to No. 9 Arizona State 7-12 in their first game and they fell to No. 21 CSUN 7-3 in their afternoon tilt.

January 19, 2019 (Honolulu) - The 19^th-ranked San Diego State water polo team split their first two games of the season at the Rainbow Invite Saturday. The Aztecs opened the season with an 11-6 victory over Sonoma State and then lost later in the afternoon to Marist 7-6.
