In fact, a case could be made the Big Oil controls not only Foreign Policy, but the Beltway itself.

February 28, 2012 (Spring Valley)-- San Diego County is estimated to have over 900,000 homeless cats in San Diego County--and Spring Valley is a hotbed for overpopulation. Now the National Cat Protection Society (NatCat) is offering to spay/neuter the cats of Spring Valley residents for free. As part of this free service, NatCat will also help Spring Valley residents by transporting their pets to and from the vet.

According to a recent report from e Environment California Research & Policy Center, over 4,500 installations and 37 MW peak capacity for the city--15,700 installations—have been made within San Diego Gas & Electric’s service territory. Now the Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA), CleanTECH San Diego and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) are offering a solar energy symposium on March 6 at the University of San Diego to discuss the future of solar energy in the region.

February 28, 2012 (San Diego)--Apparently, San Diego State sophomore guard Jamaal Franklin forgot that Senior Night is supposed to be a celebration for the seniors in their last home game ever.
Franklin matched his career-high in points with 31 and set a new career-high with 16 rebounds as the No. 24 Aztecs defeated the Colorado State Rams February 22 to pull into a three-way tie for first place in the Mountain West Conference standings with No. 18 New Mexico and No. 21 UNLV.

February 28, 2012 (San Diego's East County) -These shelter dogs have been provided training to become dream dogs for individuals or families. This month, we have several wonderful dogs to choose from -- from pups to mature pets.
Rudy is an Anatolian Shepherd/ Collie mix who is a 3 year-old male. This wonderful boy is playful as well as loving, and bonds very closely. He is a very tall boy and weighs 90 lbs. He has been neutered, has his shots, rabies, micro chip and is doing very well with his on leash and off leash training. Wonderful family dog or companion. As you can see by his big smile...he is a very happy boy!

February 27, 2012 (El Cajon)-- El Cajon police officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots fired near Graves and Madison tonight at 7:30 p.m. They arrived to find one adult male victim in the 100 block of E. Madison. Officers found a second adult male victimin the 400 block of Ballantyne. Officers also located a 7-year-old girl with a non-life threatening gunshot in the 500 block of Graves. All gunshot wounds were considered non-life threatening.

But the isle in California’s Channel Islands was also used by the Navy—and a colony of wild cats believe to be descended from pets of naval personnelwere hunting wild birds and lizards, endangering native species including foxes.
The Navy was prepared to kill all of the feral cats—until the Humane Society and the Fund for Animals stepped in.

February 26, 2012 (Spring Valley) -- Detectives from the Lemon Grove Station want your help in identifying a woman wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Spring Valley. The suspect walked into a Bank of America inside an Albertson's grocery store in the 500 block of Sweetwater Road on Tuesday, February 21st. She handed a demand note to the teller then lifted her shirt to show a gun on her waist. She then walked out of the store. No one was hurt.

In a large room in El Cajon, 43 women sit in a circle. Many smile and nod as they listen to the petite woman who is speaking in the center. The speaker is Christine Stevens, founder of Upbeat Drum Circles, one of the facilitators of the event that day. Christine holds a large drum in her hands as she addresses the women around her. On the skin of the drum is an image of a woman. Her delicately- painted face is framed in a thin, light blue scarf.

X-rays show tremendous improvement in the dog’s lungs and his prognosis is very good.
