September 8, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State men’s soccer team fell in heart-breaking fashion Friday night, with San Francisco scoring a 94th minute goal to cap a 2-1 contest and hand SDSU its second loss of the season.

September 8, 2017 (Phoenix) - Narrowly avoiding a sweep was too stressful for the Padres, so they decided to take a trip to Arizona for the weekend to play the second place Diamondbacks.  Great idea!  Jordan Lyles started tonight’s game one against Patrick Corbin for the Dbacks.

September 8, 2017 (Spring Valley) - For this season week’s edition of Friday Night Lights, ECM was back in Spring Valley, but this week, we were at the other Spring Valley high school.  Just like in the Revolutionary War, Patriots were going up against Monarchs as Patrick Henry took on Monte Vista.  The Patriots are off to a rocky start this season, starting 0-2.  The Monarchs, meanwhile, sported an even 1-1 record coming into tonight.

September 8, 2017 (Lincoln, Neb.) - Rachel Speros scored 19 seconds before the final horn in double overtime to lift San Diego State to a 2-1 road victory over No. 22 Nebraska at Barbara Hibner Stadium on Friday. The win evened the Aztecs’ record at 3-3, while the Huskers watched their record fall to 5-2.

September 2, 2017 (San Diego) - Last night, the pitching by Clayton Kershaw and Dinelson Lamet was strong.  The Padres still suffered a 1-0 loss, but they have a lot to be proud of in young talent.  Today in game one of a Saturday doubleheader, another young talent took the mound, but this time, he was on the Dodgers.  His name was Brock Stewart and he faced a veteran, Clayton Richard.

September 1, 2017 (East Lansing, Mich.) - The San Diego State volleyball team employed a balanced offense and timely runs to defeat Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in three sets (25-19, 25-18, 25-18) Friday in the second match of the Spartan Invitational at Jenison Fieldhouse. With the victory, the Aztecs overcame a 3-0 sweep (17-25, 14-25, 17-25) earlier in the day at the hands of No. 23 Michigan State, improving to 2-3 on the season.

August 30, 2017 (San Diego) - The American Red Cross will be on site for San Diego State football’s season opener against UC Davis on Saturday, Sept. 2, collecting donations for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

The American Red Cross will be accepting cash donations in Aztec Village, which is located in parking areas C1/D1 at San Diego Stadium. Aztec Village is open from 2:30 p.m. until 5 p.m.

August 28, 2017 (San Diego) - After an embarrassing sweep by the Marlins in a series the Padres should have won, they came back home to face the equally dismal Giants in a series they should definitely win.  Jeff Samardzija started for the Giants against Jhoulys Chacin in tonight’s game one.
