September 10, 2018 (Albuquerque) - San Diego State’s Fernanda Escauriza (Asunción, Paraguay) remains tied for second place after firing a combined 5-under-par 139 on Monday to lead the Aztec women’s golf team during the first two rounds of the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational at UNM Championship South Course. With her score, the SDSU junior sits just two shots behind front-runner Darian Zachek of host New Mexico (-7) heading into Tuesday’s final round on the par-72, 6,317-yard course layout.

May 8, 2018 (San Francisco) - San Diego State’s Mila Chaves (Asunción, Paraguay) fired a 2-under-par 70 on Tuesday to lead the Aztec women’s golf team during the second round of the NCAA San Francisco Regional at TPC Harding Park Golf Course. With her score, the SDSU senior carded the squad’s lone red figure of the day, jumping into a seven-way tie for fourth place individually at 3-under 141 heading into Wednesday’s final round on the par-72, 6,369-yard track.

With their total, the Aztecs secured a berth in the championship bracket of match play, but fell to Texas by a count of  3 ½ - 1 ½ in their first-round battle later in the afternoon.
