March 13, 2019 (Las Vegas) - Freshman guard Sophia Ramos totaled 16 points and junior center Zayn Dornstauder had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in San Diego State’s 75-70 loss to No. 3 seed Wyoming in Tuesday’s semifinal of the MW Championship. The Aztecs led by as many as three points in the game and had a two-point advantage heading into the last 19 seconds of regulation, but two free throws by the Cowgirls pushed the game into extra minutes.

March 11, 2019 (Las Vegas) - Sophomore guard Najé Murray tallied 22 points with six three-pointers and freshman guard Mallory Adams recorded a career-high 16 rebounds in San Diego State’s 70-61 overtime win over second-seeded New Mexico in Monday’s Mountain West quarterfinal. The Aztecs came back from a 13-point deficit and tied the score with a Sophia Ramos’ runner at the end of regulation to push the game into extra minutes.

March 10, 2019 (Las Vegas) - The San Diego State women’s basketball team stamped its ticket to the Mountain West Championship quarterfinal round following Sunday’s 63-55 victory over 10th-seeded Air Force. The Aztecs had three players in double figures, led by MW all-freshman honoree Mallory Adams’ 20 points.

March 4, 2019 (Fresno) -  The Aztec women’s basketball team (11-17, 6-11) held off a late rally by Fresno State (18-10, 11-6) to escape with a 59-58 win Monday evening.

The Bulldogs’ Candice White hit a difficult three-pointer with 5.8 seconds left to bring Fresno State within one point. The Bulldogs then fouled Mallory Adams who missed both free throws to set up one more chance for Fresno State. After advancing the ball, they inbounded to Maddi Utti, who faked a hand-off to White and then drove baseline, stopped and elevated for an eight foot jumper that rimmed out as the buzzer went off.

February 28, 2019 (San Diego) - The Aztec women’s basketball team (10-15, 5-10) suffered a 65-52 defeat to Utah State (13-14, 8-8) Wednesday evening inside Viejas Arena. The Aztecs, who fell behind by 16 points early in the second quarter, were able to pull within one point late in the third, but then saw Utah State finish the game on a 15-3 run.

February 23, 2019 (San Diego) - The Aztec women’s basketball team (10-15, 5-9) were outscored in the fourth quarter 23-9 by UNLV (10-16, 8-7) and lost 62-49 Saturday afternoon inside Viejas Arena.

Mallory Adams once again paced the Aztecs with 15 points and had nine rebounds. Sophia Ramos had 12 points and seven rebounds and Téa Adams chipped in 10 points.

February 2, 2019 (San Diego) - The Aztec women’s basketball team (7-12, 2-6) withstood a rally from San José State (2-18, 1-8) to win 69-68 Saturday afternoon inside Viejas Arena.

SDSU led by 17 points in the first quarter, but saw the Spartans take their first lead of the game with 16 seconds left after Analyss Benally banked in a three-pointer. On the other end, Téa Adams knifed through the lane and scooped up the game-winner off the glass with two seconds left to secure the nail-biting victory for the Aztecs.

After falling behind by double-digits in the first quarter, the Aztecs used a 15-2 run in the third quarter to take the lead and then held off the Eagles down the stretch.

June 11, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State, in conjunction with the Mountain West has announced the women’s basketball league schedule for the 2018-19 season.

The conference format will remain the same with each team playing eight of the other 10 teams twice and playing two opponents once. This season, San Diego State will not play Wyoming at home and will not travel to play at Colorado State.

February 10, 2018 (San Diego) - After a heartbreaker Wednesday afternoon against Fresno State, the lady Aztecs took to Steve Fisher Court again this afternoon to try again in a matinee against Nevada in the “Pink Game” for Play4Kay Day at Viejas Arena.  The lady Wolf Pack are a vastly different team than the Bulldogs; seventh in the Mountain West and in a slump; 11-11 overall and 4-7 in league.

February 7, 2018 (San Diego) - In a special Wednesday matinee, San Diego State women’s basketball took to Steve Fisher Court to take on the Bulldogs of Fresno State.  The red and black lost to the Dawgs in Fresno on January 17, 64-53.  The Bulldogs are a tough customer, ranking third in the Mountain West.

January 27, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State seniors Geena Gomez and Khalia Lark scored 17 points apiece on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough as visiting UNLV roared back from an 18-point deficit to hand the Aztec women’s basketball team a disappointing 75-64 defeat in front of 4,568 fans at Steve Fisher Court on Girls and Women in Sports Day.

March 2, 2012 (San Diego)--When the final buzzer hit 00.0 at Viejas Arena on Feb. 29, it was time for the celebration. Fans rushed the court. Music began blaring through the loud speakers. Both teams shook hands before the San Diego State women’s basketball team rushed to midcourt to join the rejoicing mob that had formed.
