November 29, 2011 (Lemon Grove) -- The Lemon Grove School District will break ground on November 30 at 9:00 a.m. for the joint-use library/media center planned following passage of Proposition W.

November 27, 2011 (Santee) -- La Mesa's own Bob Berry was one of three wood carvers who met patrons of the Mission Trails Regional Park's 14,000 sq. ft visitors' and interpretive center, last weekend, Saturday, Nov. 19. Joining Berry was John Rieger,as well as two-time world champion Del Herbert. The trio, which combines for about a century of wood-carving experience, chatted with visitors at the center about the craft of wood-carving while providing a live demonstration.
Transaction results in savings of $1.3 million for district taxpayers

The transaction represents a savings of $1.3 million for taxpayers in the district over the next six years.

Reading about the new elevators at the Grossmont Trolley Station in East County Magazine, made me wonder about other news regarding the trolley system. When I went to the website for the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System, I found it had done an excellent job providing information for its riders about the Trolley Renewal Project that will affect the schedules and locations for catching the trolley.

November 25, 2011 (El Cajon) – Stephen Anthony Harris, 20, has been arrested following an all-night stand-off at 118 West Chase Avenue in El Cajon. Residents called 911 at 10:20 p.m. to report that Harris showed up in violation of a court order and began vandalizing property inside the home. Residents fled the home in fear of their safety.
