June 27, 2021 (Lemon Grove) – You’re invited to join the Lemon Grove Lions in a cornhole tournament fundraiser at 13 Point Brewing, Lemon Grove’s new brewery located at 8035 Broadway in Lemon Grove.
 
The tournament will take place on Saturday, August 7 at 4 p.m., with check-in at 3 p.m.
 
Proceeds benefit San Diego Center for the Blind and other causes supported by the Lions.

Vernon.  The series opens June 24 with Republic of Music, followed by Manny Cepeda on July 8, Bayou Brothers July 22 and the Catillacs for the season finale on August 5.

September 28, 2019 (Lemon Grove) – The Sheriff’s department will host Coffee with the Community on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Starbucks (3520 Massachusetts Avenue near Broadway) in Lemon Grove.  The public is invited to meet patrol deputies and ask questions about issues brewing in the community.  
 
During the one hour meeting, attendees can also learn about crime prevention and free safety programs offered by the Lemon Grove substation.

Volunteers wishing to take pride in their community are needed to remove graffiti, clean up trash, and make the area look and feel better. Participants are encouraged to bring a team of friends, family, coworkers, or colleagues from school, church, clubs or athletic teams.

July 19, 2019 (Lemon Grove) -- The Lemon Grove Library and the Lemon Grove Historical Society present a new exhibit of recent digital paintings by Jack Ofield, the noted filmmaker, animator, graphic designer, painter and writer.  Ofield is a member of the Directors Guild of America, a directing fellow of the American Film Institute, and emeritus professor of Film and former filmmaker-in-residence at San Diego State University.
