October 13, 2022 (San Diego) - The San Diego State volleyball team stumbled out of the gates and found themselves in pursuit mode for much of the evening in a 3-1 loss to Wyoming (14-25, 22-25, 20-25, 17-25) on Thursday in a Mountain West match inside Aztec Court at Peterson Gym.

October 11, 2022 (Reno) - The San Diego State men’s golf team finished in second place at the Wolf Pack Classic Tuesday at the par-72, 7,302-yard Hidden Valley Country Club in Reno, Nevada. The Aztecs shot a 6-under-par 282 on the final day today and finished at 27-under 837 for the tournament.

October 9, 2022 (Denver) - The Aztec women’s golf team finished the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Denver Sunday afternoon tied for ninth place (out of 16 schools). The Aztecs were led by Bernice Olivarez Ilas, who shot a 214 and tied for 10th place.

The first half was scoreless until the end of the second when West Hills alum Jack Browning nailed a 45-yard field goal to put the Aztecs up 3-0 at the half.

October 6, 2022 (San Diego) - San Diego State women’s soccer (5-3-5, 3-1-1 MW) defeated San Jose State (3-5-2, MW 2-2-1) 2-0 on Thursday evening at Snapdragon Stadium. An Emma Gaines-Ramos goal in the 86th minute earned the Aztecs the 2-0 win in front of a women’s soccer all-time attendance record crowd of 2,546.

Lindley, who served as a graduate assistant coach with the Aztecs for part of the 2018 season and attended El Capitan High School, will coach the SDSU quarterbacks.

October 2, 2022 (San Diego) - The Aztec men’s soccer team (4-5-2, 1-2-1) beat Oregon State (4-3-1, 1-1-0) 3-0 Sunday on the SDSU Sports Deck Sunday afternoon for their first Pac-12 win of the year. The Aztecs got goals from C.J. Fodrey, Blake Bowen and Iñigo Villaldea while scoring their most goals in a Pac-12 match since the 2017 season.

September 30, 2022 (Spring Valley) - ECM Sports covered Monte Vista last week, but this week, we went to their turf for the battle of Spring Valley as they hosted the Matadors of Mount Miguel.  Both teams are struggling; the Monarchs are 1-4 on the season and 0-1 in league with their loss to El Cajon Valley last week.  The Matadors are 2-4 and 0-2 in league.
