March 18, 2018 (Monterrey, Mexico) - The 14-time and 2017-18 Pacific Division Champion San Diego Sockers quest for their 15th title ended with a 6-4 loss to the Monterrey Flash in the MASL Ron Newman Cup Western Conference Final at Arena Monterrey on Sunday night. The theme of the night would be the near-misses by the Sockers throughout the game. San Diego, who has not yet made the championship round, has now lost three consecutive MASL semi-finals.

March 15, 2018 (San Diego) - One day ahead of the Conference Final Weekend, the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced the All-MASL 1st Team for the 2017-2018 regular season. Goalkeeper Chris Toth, who now has the edge on being honored as the Goalkeeper of the Year, was the only Socker named to the team. Earlier this week, the MASL announced the All-Rookie and Rookie Honorable Mentions as well as 2nd Team, 3rd Team, and Honorable Mention All-MASL Teams.

March 14, 2018 (San Diego) - The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today the MASL 2nd Team, 3rd Team and Honorable Mention list. The San Diego Sockers were represented by forward Kraig Chiles and defender John Sosa on the Second Team, and goalkeeper Boris Pardo on the Third Team. These awards are a prelude to the MASL Conference Finals to be held this weekend. The Milwaukee Wave travel to the Baltimore Blast on Friday and the Monterrey Flash host the San Diego Sockers on Sunday as all four teams try to earn a spot in the Ron Newman Cup Championship.

March 8, 2018 (Kent, Wash.) - The 14-time and 2017-18 Pacific Division Champion San Diego Sockers dropped Game One of the best-of-three Major Arena Soccer League Divisional Championship Series to the Tacoma Stars 5-2 at accesso ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington on Thursday night. San Diego now must win Game Two to set up a series-deciding 15-minute Mini-Game at Valley View Casino Center on Saturday night. The two goals scored by San Diego was their lowest offensive output of the season.

Anthony Medina, who announced his retirement after nine seasons, scored three goals in his final game.

March 1, 2018 (Ontario) - The Pacific Division Champion San Diego Sockers ended the postseason dreams of the Ontario Fury with an 8-4 win before a gathering of 3,279 at Citizens Business Bank Arena. The Sockers (18-3), who will meet the Tacoma Stars in the Divisional Championship Series beginning Wednesday, March 7,  are one win away from securing the second-best record in the MASL and the possibility of having home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

February 27, 2018 (San Diego) - The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today that San Diego Sockers Kraig Chiles and Chris Toth were named to the Team of the Week for Week 18. For both players, it is their third such honor this season. Chiles had a seven-point night last Saturday with two goals and a season-high five assists. Toth made eight saves in earning his ninth win. Matt Clare was placed on the Honorable Mention list for his hat trick against Rio Grande Valley.

San Diego’s Chiles tallies four goals and G.K. Pardo makes key saves

November 12, 2017 (San Diego) - The 14-time champion San Diego Sockers (3-0) remained unbeaten after an 8-3 win over the Tacoma Stars (1-2) before 3,196 at Valley View Casino Center on Sunday night. Captain Kraig Chiles scored four goals, and Boris Pardo made 12 saves and three key stops in the third period to provide momentum for San Diego.
