March 6, 2022 (Las Vegas) - The seventh-seeded Aztec women’s basketball team (15-15) knocked off the No. 10 seed, Boise State (8-21) 65-56 in the first round of the Mountain West Tournament Sunday afternoon. The Aztecs will move on to face No. 2 New Mexico in the quarterfinals Monday at 6 p.m.

March 4, 2022 (San Diego) - San Diego State scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and rode the arm of Maggie Balint in a 6-2 victory over California on the second day of the San Diego Classic Friday night at SDSU Softball Stadium.

March 3, 2022 (San Diego) - San Diego State fell in eight innings to Brigham Young 2-1 on the first day of the San Diego Classic Thursday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. The last three losses for the Aztecs (11-6) have come in extra innings by one run apiece.

The Aztecs took the doubles point before falling in singles play.

February 27, 2022 (Irvine) - The San Diego State water polo team split its two Sunday games at the 2022 Barbara Kalbus Invitational, Defeating Pomona-Pitzer 9-6, but dropped its game to No. 18 Loyola Marymount 11-5. Senior Karli Canale led the Aztecs with five goals in the two games.

Joe Tyler went 4-0 on the day.

February 26, 2022 (San Diego) - The San Diego State men’s tennis team split a doubleheader against Gonzaga and Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday, falling to Gonzaga 4-3, before defeating Pomona-Pitzer 6-1 at Aztec Tennis Complex.

February 25, 2022 (Irvine) - Freshman Rose Kanemy scored twice to pace the San Diego State water polo team, but the No. 4 Stanford Cardinal took an early 5-0 lead and never let the Aztecs back into the game, going on to win 20-6 in both team’s opening game of the 2022 Barbara Kalbus Invitational at the Anteater Aquatics Complex on the campus of UC Irvine.

February 25, 2022 (Cathedral City, Calif.) - The San Diego State softball team run-ruled UC Davis 9-1 in six innings to salvage a Thursday night split on the first day of the Mary Nutter Collegiate at Big League Dreams in the Palm Springs area. The Aztecs, who lost to Cal State Fullerton 7-3 in the opener, are now 10-3 on the season.

February 23, 2022 (La Quinta, Calif.) - The San Diego State men’s golf team finished in a four-way tie for 13th place out of 24 teams at The Prestige on Wednesday. The Aztecs, who are ranked 44th in the latest Golfstat rankings, shot a 13-over 297 in today’s final round and ended at 47-over 899 overall at the par-71, 7,100-yard Greg Norman Course at PGA West.
