April 28, 2019 (Gold River, Calif.) - Following Saturday’s first-place finishes in three preliminary races and a gold medal performance in the second varsity four final, the San Diego State rowing team wrapped its weekend on Lake Natoma at the WIRA Championships by earning bronze in the varsity eight final and golds in both the second varsity eight and varsity four.

April 19, 2019 (Chula Vista) - The San Diego State rowing team traveled south to the Otay Reservoir at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center Friday morning, where the Aztecs downed UCSD, 13-0, in four head-to-head events. With the win, SDSU retains the Patty Wyatt Perpetual Trophy.

April 7, 2019 (San Diego) - The San Diego State rowing team raced in its final events at Sunday’s 46th annual San Diego Crew Classic on Mission Bay, highlighted by a first-place finish in the Varsity 4+ Karen Plumleigh Cortney Cup petite final and the second varsity eight’s third place finish in the Jackie Ann Stitt Hungness Trophy petite final.

April 20, 2018 (Chula Vista) - The San Diego State rowing team claimed the Patty Wyatt Perpetual Trophy Friday morning for a consecutive season, downing UCSD 13-0 in its races on Otay Reservoir at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center. The Aztecs secured each of the available points with wins in all four events and honored their senior rowers at the race.

The Aztec varsity eight boat claimed the Cal Cup with a win in the grand final, while the varsity four ‘B’ nabbed a third-place finish, the varsity four ‘A’ and third varsity eight claimed fourth, and the second varsity eight finished sixth.

Junior Isabelle Paul earned a spot on the first team all-conference, while junior Sara Avery and freshman Bianca van Dyk received second team honors.

This is the first weekly award for the 2V8 and just the second conference honor for the SDSU rowing team. The second eight had a stellar weekend in Gold River, Calif., where it won its two races at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships on Lake Natoma.
