October 1, 2020 (Sacramento) - Senate Bill 1003, a measure authored by State Senator Brian Jones (R-Santee) which extends the immunity from liability that local governments receive when operating skate parks, was signed into law last night by Governor Gavin Newsom.

October 1, 2020 (San Diego) -The San Diego State football team and Mountain West released its updated 2020 schedule on Thursday. Game times and television arrangements, including moves to non-Saturdays will be announced at a later date.

September 14, 2020 (San Diego) - After an odd series against the Giants that had some COVID postponements, the Padres hoped this series with the Dodgers would go swimmingly.  Clayton Kershaw started game one for the Dodgers tonight against Dinelson Lamet.

September 4, 2020 (San Diego) - San Diego State head men’s basketball coach Brian Dutcher has signed a contract extension that will keep him on the Aztec sideline through the 2025-26 season. The 2019-20 USA Today National Coach of the Year is entering his fourth season as head coach and beginning his 22nd campaign on The Mesa.

August 10, 2020 (San Diego) – The Mountain West conference, which houses the majority of San Diego State athletics, has announced the indefinite postponement of all scheduled fall sports contests and MW championship events in response to ongoing challenges with the effective mitigation and management of the COVID-19 virus in conjunction with athletic competition. The MW Board of Directors prioritized the physical and mental health and well-being of the Conference’s student-athletes and overall campus communities in its decision – as it has done throughout the course of the pandemic.

July 28, 2020 (San Francisco) - The Padres are doing well so far, but that’s probably because it’s a shorter season.  Tonight, they faced off against the Giants in game one of a three-game series, which was also the Giants’ home opener.  Jeff Samardzija started for the Giants against Zach Davies.
