May 13, 2022 (Albuquerque) - San Diego State run-ruled New Mexico, 12-3, in five innings to clinch the outright Mountain West title Friday night at Lobo Softball Field. The Aztecs (37-13, 20-3 MW) reached 20 wins for the first time in their MW history (since 2000).

May 12, 2022 (Albuquerque) - San Diego State downed New Mexico, 7-1, to clinch at least a share of the Mountain West title and earn the league’s automatic bid into the NCAA tournament Thursday at Lobo Softball Field. The Aztecs (36-13, 19-3 MW) lead Boise State (17-5 MW) by a pair of games but own the tiebreaker after winning two of three contests with the Broncos from April 14-16.

May 8, 2022 (San Diego) - Senior Nicole Siess hit a two-out RBI triple in the bottom of the seventh inning and then scored on a throwing error to give San Diego State a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over Utah State Sunday afternoon at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (35-13, 18-3 MW) claimed their seventh consecutive series with the win.

Despite the loss, the Aztecs (34-13) remain in first place in the Mountain West standings at 17-3, two games ahead of Boise State (15-5) with four to play in the regular season.

May 6, 2022 (San Diego) - Maggie Balint struck out 12 batters in a complete-game no-hitter to lead San Diego State to a 4-0 victory over Utah State in the series opener Friday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. It was Balint’s (16-5) first career no-hitter and the Aztecs’ (34-12, 17-2 MW) first since Christina Ross tossed a five-inning perfect game in an 8-0 SDSU win over Brown on March 28, 2007.

April 30, 2022 (Tucson) - San Diego State is advancing to the NCAA Team Women’s Championship for the 23rd time in school history. The third-seeded Aztecs completed a dominant run through the Mountain West Conference tournament on Saturday, defeating fourth-seeded UNLV 4-1 to claim the program’s first league tournament title since 2003. With the win, the Aztecs earn an automatic bid into the NCAA team tournament.
