VIEJAS HOSTS NEW YEAR’S EVE BASH WITH LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

December 21, 2022 (Alpine) – Viejas Casino & Resort invites you to celebrate New Year’s Eve at Viejas Casino & Resort in the Park.  The party will feature live entertainment with Earth to Mars, the Bruno Mars experience, as well as go-go dancers from the Femme Fatale Dancers and DJ Gemini Nikki.  At midnight, a fireworks show and ball drop will cap off the night’s festivities.

CHANUKAH CELEBRATION AND DRONE GELT DROP TODAY AT GROSSMONT HIGH

December 18, 2022 (El Cajon) – Chabad of East County will present a Chanukah Celebration  at the Grossmont High School football field (Jack Moshin Stadium) starting at 4:30 pm. today. Highlights of the event will include a grand Menorah lighting with community leaders and guests, as well as a drone gelt drop and magic show.

The event will also feature music, hot latkes, jelly donuts, Chanukah crafts and prizes.

SANTEE KICKS OFF THE HOLIDAY SEASON WITH A TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY & FESTIVITIES

Nov. 19, 2022 (Santee) Hundreds turned out on Nov. 18 to watch the lighting of the community Christmas tree in Santee. The tree lighting kicked off at 6:15 p.m. with city officials and business members gathering to light the tree located in the Santee Trolley Square complex.

Snow and ice were brought in for kids to sled on. The event also included bounce houses, face painting, kids’ crafts tables, as well as businesses and organizations hosting vendor tents.

“Bring your beloved animal companion(s), be they fish or fowl, dog or cat, all creatures great and small,” says Melanie Lucero.  “All animals will receive an individual blessing from Pastor Kelly. If you are not able to bring your pet, please bring a picture of him/her.”

ADAMS AVENUE STREET FAIR WARMS UP

September 28, 2022 (Normal Heights) - The Adams Avenue Street Fair was back in Normal Heights on September 24 and September 25. This was the 40th year of the annual event and featured 65 musical acts.  The Fair is Southern California’s largest free two-day music festival and is held every year in September.  Included in the fun were carnival rides, beer gardens and beer tastings, arts and crafts and plenty of tasty food.
