February 27, 2018 (Boise) - The San Diego State women’s basketball team fell at Boise State 64-53 Tuesday evening at the Taco Bell Arena. The Aztecs trailed by just four points entering the fourth quarter, but missed their first 11 shots of the quarter and the Broncos went on an 11-0 run, which the Aztecs could not overcome.

February 27, 2018 (San Luis Obispo) - Buoyed by two top-10 individual placements, the San Diego State women’s golf team finished in fourth place at the Bruin Wave Invitational on Tuesday after posting a collective 15-over-par 303 during the final round at a chilly San Luis Obispo Country Club.

February 27, 2018 (San Diego) - The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today that San Diego Sockers Kraig Chiles and Chris Toth were named to the Team of the Week for Week 18. For both players, it is their third such honor this season. Chiles had a seven-point night last Saturday with two goals and a season-high five assists. Toth made eight saves in earning his ninth win. Matt Clare was placed on the Honorable Mention list for his hat trick against Rio Grande Valley.

February 26, 2018 (Westlake Village, Calif.) - The San Diego State men’s golf team remains in fifth place at the Southwestern Invitational after play was suspended midway through the second round on Monday due to darkness. The Aztecs, who sit at 17-over par through holes 11-13, endured a two-hour delay for frost earlier in the morning at the par-72, 6,994-yard layout at North Ranch Country Club.

Ashley Henderson was named the Women’s Outstanding Performer of the Meet after winning the 60 and 200-meter dash, while Jalyn Harris, Bonnie Draxler, Marissa Berry and Lisa-Anne Barrow also took home all-conference honors.

With the loss, the Aztecs slip to 2-8 on the season, while the Waves move to 2-6 overall.

February 25, 2018 (Boulder, Colo.) - The San Diego State lacrosse team dropped its second game in a row to a ranked opponent, falling to No. 20 Colorado 17-12 on Sunday at Kittredge Field.

The Aztecs (2-2), who lost at 21st-ranked Denver on Friday by an identical count, once again found themselves in pursuit mode against the Buffaloes (2-2) after trailing 10-1 by the 9:44 mark of the first half.

February 24, 2018 (Honolulu) - The San Diego State women’s tennis team came up short in Saturday’s neutral site match against Grand Canyon, dropping a 4-2 decision to the Lopes at the University of Hawai’i Tennis Complex. The Aztecs missed an opportunity to improve its doubles point win streak on Saturday after doubles play was cancelled to shorten play time due to the threat of rain in the forecast.

February 24, 2018 (Alberquerque) - The San Diego State track and field team closed out the 2018 Mountain West Indoor Championships with a bang Saturday at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Bonnie Draxler took first in the pole vault while setting a Mountain West and San Diego State record and Ashley Henderson took gold in both the 60 and 200 and was named the Mountain West Women's Indoor Track and Field Most Outstanding Performer for the second consecutive year. The Aztecs, who started the day in 11th place, ended up finishing in fourth place.

February 23, 2018 (Spring Valley) - Helix may be out, but playoff basketball is alive and well in Spring Valley this Friday night as Monte Vista welcomed Guajome Park Academy from Vista in the CIFSDS Division Four quarterfinals.  The Frogs are an impeccable 19-5 overall and 8-0 in conference play, while the Monarchs post a solid 19-10 record with a 4-4 record in the Grossmont League.

February 23, 2018 (Denver) - San Diego State suffered its first loss of the season after dropping a 17-12 decision to No. 21 Denver in a Friday matinee at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.

Despite a career-high four goals from junior Jill Haight, the Aztecs were unable to overcome a 13-3 halftime deficit, falling to 2-1 on the year, while the Pioneers remain unbeaten at 3-0.
