February 23, 2019 (Cathedral City, Calif.) - The San Diego State softball team was shut out by undefeated No. 25/23 Texas Tech 7-0 Saturday night in Cathedral City, Calif. The Aztecs fell to 7-6 on the season, while the Red Raiders improved to 13-0 with their third consecutive shutout at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic and fourth straight shutout overall.

February 23, 2019 (San Diego) - The Aztec women’s basketball team (10-15, 5-9) were outscored in the fourth quarter 23-9 by UNLV (10-16, 8-7) and lost 62-49 Saturday afternoon inside Viejas Arena.

Mallory Adams once again paced the Aztecs with 15 points and had nine rebounds. Sophia Ramos had 12 points and seven rebounds and Téa Adams chipped in 10 points.

February 23, 2019 (Newport Beach) - The No. 25 San Diego State (3-6) water polo team lost to No. 9 UC Santa Barbara 11-5 Saturday morning in the Aztecs’ second game of the Barbara Kalbus Invitational.

The Guachos outscored SDSU 4-0 in the first quarter. SDSU was able to close the gap to 5-3 early in the third quarter but then UCSB pulled away with six unanswered goals.

February 22, 2019 (Albuquerque) - The San Diego State track and field team sits in second place entering the final day of the Mountain West Indoor Championships. Bonnie Draxler highlighted the day by capturing the championship in the pole vault. She cleared 4.33 meters to set a meet record and capture her fourth indoor championship (fifth overall), becoming the first athlete to accomplish that.

February 21, 2019 (Fullerton) - San Diego State was unable to get its offense going in a 5-1 loss at Cal State Fullerton Wednesday in Fullerton, Calif. The Aztecs fell to 6-4 on the season.

SDSU managed only two hits in the game - both by Katie Byrd - off Titan (8-3) pitchers Janelle Rodriguez and Sophie Frost. San Diego State’s other baserunners in the game were Megan Smith (two walks), Kiera Wright (one walk) and Molly Sturdivant (hit by pitch).

The Aztecs currently sit in second with 178.5 points, trailing only Nevada by a 25.5-point margin.

February 19, 2019 (San Diego) - The San Diego State baseball team came out victorious with a 9-3 win against No. NR/25 UC Irvine on Tuesday night at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

Brian Leonhardt led the Aztecs with a 3-for-4 performance including four RBIs. Casey O’Sullivan (1-0) earned the win on the mound for SDSU, pitching two innings of one-hit relief with four strikeouts.

The high-powered Bronco offense scored 50 points on 68 percent shooting in the first half and built an insurmountable lead.
